Our stay was very quiet and pleasant. This Best Western is a nicely remodeled older hotel with easy on/off access to the highway, and is very close to several restaurants. Wal Mart is right down the road as well. The staff were exceptionally friendly and breakfast was hot and very good. The only problem I had was parking as we were pulling a cargo trailer with a pickup-the layout of the lot doesn't allow for pull-throughs. The manager was very accommodating however and let us park in the front by the entrance. I will definitely be back next year!
The lighting in the room was terrible and I had a non smoking room that smelled like smoke. The breakfast was excellent. I won't be back because of the lighting though. My in laws stayed too and their room was the same. Track lighting with no extra lamps. I had to leave my curtain open most of the time to get decent light. When my father in law mentioned it to management, he was told that they try to save money on electricity.
My family intended to stay here while attending a family wedding. Check in was easy & parking convenient. The room was dark & dated. Within 30 minutes of arriving, I hopped in the shower to find an enormous roach crawling on the inside of the shower curtain. After disposing of it, I continued only to find no toiletries of any kind - no shampoo, no soap, nothing. The people on the property were nice enough to bring some over when we asked, but I really can't understand why they wouldn't fill up the shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser that they have in the shower. As we continued getting ready for the wedding, my son killed another enormous roach on the wall. The sheets on our bed looked like they'd been slept in. 1 electrical outlet didn't work. 1 outlet next to the bed had no cover & had wires hanging out of it (phone perhaps?). Needless to say, after 4 short hours here, we packed up our things and made the long drive home following the wedding, as I could not bring myself to lie my head down here for the night.
We stayed at this hotel during a Leadership Retreat for our business. When we checked in the clerk was very friendly. The air conditioning and TV were turned on and ready when we entered our room. The room was pleasant and comfortable. The clerk told us to have a good day each morning when we left the breakfast area. We really appreciated that.
I will never stay here again when we come back we will choose another place, the room was not clean the bathroom had hair all in the tub with black stuff and urine all around the toilet they said the cleaner didn't get to the bathroom so we could stay in another room for the night well that bathroom looked the same way so I went to Wal-Mart for cleaner and cleaned the room myself. There were roaches crawling in the light fixtures, if you wanted the fan on you had to sleep with the lights on, if you wanted the plugs to work you had to leave the light on . The pictures of these rooms on line are definitely not what you get not even close !
